Big Announcement!

Some of you may have noticed I’ve been a bit silent here lately.  That’s not on purpose but I do apologize for it.  I’ve tried to send quick updates and links through my Facebook page to help spread awareness and advocacy regarding recent FDA regulations as fast as I can find them.  But that’s not the main reason why I’ve been so silent.

Starting June 24th weekend, I will be releasing my own E-Liquid line called Great Falls Vapor.  The past few months have been beta test after beta test, working with a graphic designer to come up with the labels, and creating the business partnerships that I’ll need to be successful.  The webpage is still not complete and there’s quite a bit of work to do right up until the actual release.  But, when it does become available, I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

The release will take place at VaperSlam New York.  I’ll have a booth there where I’ll happily introduce the flavors (and myself) to anyone I can.  I promise I’m quite friendly in person.

Wholesale and distribution should be available that same weekend or shortly afterwards.  My goal with the company is to create the best possible liquid at a consumer friendly price.  I’m targeting a $24.99 retail price point for 60ml bottles.  That’s an excellent price for any decent liquid out there and I promise I can compete with the $20+ 30ml “premium” brands.

The two flavors that will initially drop are:

  • Let Them Vape Cake
  • Rollin Dough

Let Them Vape Cake is a classic Italian pastry.  You’ll first taste the flaky crispy dough, paired with a complex vanilla cream and almond, with just a hint of citrus throughout.  I’ve modeled this flavor after something available at a local pastry shop that has been deemed “The closest you can get to actually getting it in Italy.”  You’ll be very impressed with how much complexity is in the liquid while being able to vape it all day everyday.

Rollin Dough is a cinnamon sugar covered doughnut with a creamy vanilla gelato ice cream, carefully drizzled with a nutty chocolate topping.  The doughnut is in place of a typical ice cream waffle cone and is a staple dessert in a couple European countries.  The dessert has been seen on Reddit’s FoodPorn subreddit and across various other aggregate sites.  You’ll initially taste the sugary cinnamon, followed by the vanilla gelato and nutty chocolate.  Another complex flavor that will send your taste buds bonkers.

One of the biggest things to me while creating these liquids is that I tamed the use of sweeteners as much as possible.  Overly sweet juices wipe out flavoring and create havoc on your coils.  These only use enough to enhance the flavoring, not mask a terrible recipe.

I’ll still be posting here from time to time, but I ask that you come follow my progress through the various social media links below.  Throw us a like/follow and subscribe to updates.  I’m usually much quicker at updating those.

Recommended Batteries as per ECF’s Mooch

Recommended Batteries as per ECF’s Mooch

Over the last few months, Mooch, a user/blogger on the Electronic Cigarette Forum has been testing just about every battery on the market.  He’s tested every big name battery manufacturer and the too many to count “rewraps” against their published specs and actual specs.

He recently published an image on his blog of recommended batteries.  Not surprisingly, most of the batteries out there are the actual manufacturers (LG, Sony, Samsung, Panasonic/Sanyo) with very few of the rewraps making the list.  There is good reason why I only recommend people use the big name manufacturers and Mooch has provided the scientific evidence to back it up.

You can take a look at his post here or see the image below.

Mayo Clinic Reveals Results of A Ground Breaking New Ecig Experiment

Mayo Clinic Reveals Results of A Ground Breaking New Ecig Experiment

Patients in the study were encouraged to use the “ENDS” [Electronic Nicotine Delivery System] whenever the desire arose instead of smoking a cigarette. Daily use and behavior was recorded during the study and findings with a 30 day follow-up with patients showed 17% were abstinent from smoking, 51% planned continued use, and “average cigarette consumption decreased from 15.6 per person to 7.6 over the study period”.  The study stated “use is feasible and well-accepted in surgical patients.”

This is very encouraging results and definitely fights some of the anti-tobacco and lobbyist funded movement that tries to get people to believe electronic cigarettes are either gateways to smoking or do not help existing smokers.  The almost 20% number is extremely encouraging and helps prove that electronic cigarettes do indeed work.

Vapor City Sauce – Rumors – Review

Vapor City Sauce – Rumors – Review

Rumors 6th of 7 liquids I will be testing by Vapor City Sauce.

Sweet candy grape mix.

Jaybo Reauleux DNA200 with a Hobo v3.1 RDA.  Dual coil 26 gauge Stainless Steel 316L @ 0.29 ohms.

I’ll be completely honest.  I’m not a huge fan of grape flavors.  They always come off as artificial or like medicine to me.  And Rumors is no different.  I do get it.  Most grape flavoring is based on the concord grape.  It comes off as this completely different grape flavor because that’s what it’s meant to taste like.  I’ve had concord grapes before and a little light bulb goes off when you realize that the artificial grape flavors are all based on this.

That being said, it is an accurate representation of a sweet grape.  It is decently sugary without being over the top.      Also, this is the first of all the flavors I’ve tried that actually has some taste on the exhale.  It’s not exactly in your face and bold.  But it is present which was a nice surprise considering that all the other flavors I’ve tried from Vapor City Sauce were lacking in this regard.

Final Thoughts

I really thought that I was going to possibly like this one.  It started off with a good amount of flavor but quickly lost it on the exhale.  The grape is accurate with an extra sweetener.  Another liquid, another disappointment.

As the other liquids from Vapor City Sauce, the cost that this liquid is going for at retail ($21.99/30mL) is too high.  At best this is a $14.99/30ml liquid and even that is pushing it.

RoShamBo Liquid – Mango Cream – Review

RoShamBo Liquid – Mango Cream – Review

RoShamBo Liquid is a new liquid that is very recently being distributed by Lotus Vaping Technologies.   They have 3 flavors (Mango Cream, Blueberry Cream, and Toffee Cream).  I’ll be starting with Mango Cream and reviewing the other two flavors in different posts.

Hobo-X DNA200 mod, Hobo v3.1 RDA.  Build is a dual coil 26 gauge 316L Stainless Steel wire around a 2.5mm bit.  Resistance is 0.3 ohms.  Wattage is between 45-55 watts.

I’ve been finding more and more mango on the market lately.  Which is a great thing as it is one of my favorite fruits.  But mango is very easy to get wrong.  Sometimes it’s the wrong level of sweetener.  Sometimes the flavor comes off artificial.  Sometimes it’s both.

RoShamBo’s liquid is none of these things.  The mango is sweet but not overpowering.  It is clean tasting and not artificial.  And the cream pairs very nicely with the mango without being overbearing.  To sum up, take a bowl of fresh cut mangos, add some freshly made cream and the result will be exactly what you are tasting from this eliquid.

At 45 watts the flavor is well balanced between the mango and cream.  Pushing towards 50 the mango really comes out.  Over 50 watts the mango gets a bit overpowered.

Final Thoughts

I haven’t been able to put this liquid down for very long.  It just has this simple and honest flavor that makes it so enjoyable.  The mango is spot on, the creme is sweet but not overly, and combined it makes for a really great liquid.

And then there is the price.  $12.99 for a 30mL bottle is an excellent price point.  It’s a premium liquid at a very competitive price.  Once you start seeing it pop up in brick and mortar shops, you can bet it will sell quickly.
