My name is Jason. I work part-time in a Northern NJ vape shop (Good Guy Vapes) and want to bring forward any and all information in regards to a positive vaping viewpoint and advocacy in New Jersey and the rest of the country.
I was a previous 15 year pack a day smoker. In 2009, I was informed about the early electronic cigarettes by a friend of mine (who also smoked at the time and also used electronic cigarettes to quit). At that time, the only options out there were the cigalikes (Blu, NJoy style) direct from China. Shipping would take 2-3 weeks, and the cost was close to $100 for a setup and some liquid. There were barely any flavors out, the battery connections weren’t standardized yet (the 510 connection wasn’t even used yet), and honestly were a giant pain the butt. But, it was interesting to try something different that may help. From there over the next couple years, the industry started to completely change. US based modders and liquid makers started cropping up, batteries got bigger, electronic chips that control the power going to coils became more user friendly. Brick and mortar shops started popping up. Come 2015, the industry is now valued over $1.5 billion dollars.
This page will mainly focus on helping support the advocacy in the NJ/NY/PA and the rest of the country, share any new scientific data that shows positive support for vaping (and discuss the negative information that exists), and provide short reviews of new hardware and liquids.
Disclaimer: The viewpoints and opinions expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views of any of the companies I mention, link to, or discuss. This is purely my own take on different events, advocacy, and hardware/eliquids mentioned on this page.
